Profile

Carlotta joined DemSOC as a Democratic practice expert in March 2024. She is a strategic urban designer and a practitioner focusing on climate change adaptation and mitigation, spatial and climate justice for sustainable and urban transition through active citizen participation. She had worked during 4 years as a strategic urban designer in different countries in Latin America, Africa, and Central Asia involved in projects for urban resilience. Her approach fosters innovative governance arrangements and multi-stakeholder collaborations, employing a diverse set of participatory tools and methods. She aims to contribute to inclusive and sustainable planning and design practices for just urban climate transitions. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from University of Architecture Venice and a Master's degree in Urban Design in Development from the University College of London.
